Our Policy

We hope every BITTER BUTTER piece finds a considered place in your wardrobe. Because our garments are made in small, intentional batches using artisanal processes, we encourage mindful purchasing. If something isn’t quite right, we are happy to assist with a return or exchange.

The Essentials

  • Window: Requests must be made within 14 days of delivery.

  • Condition: Items must be returned unworn, unwashed, and unaltered, with all original tags and packaging intact.

  • Final Sale: Items purchased during seasonal sales or promotional events are considered final sale and are not eligible for return.

Exchanges

Exchanges are available for a different size of the same style, subject to stock availability.

  • We offer one exchange per order.

  • Your new size will be processed and shipped once the original item has been received and inspected.

  • If your desired size is out of stock, we will issue store credit or help you find an alternative.

Return Shipping & Logistics

As a small label operating between Nepal and international hubs, shipping logistics are significant.

  • Costs: Return shipping fees, customs duties, and local taxes are the responsibility of the customer, except in the case of a damaged or incorrect item.

  • Method: We strictly recommend using a tracked shipping service. BITTER BUTTER is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

  • Damaged Items: If your garment arrives with a genuine fault, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can resolve it immediately.

Refunds & Store Credit

To support our slow-production model, approved returns are issued as Store Credit.

  • Store credit is delivered via email and has no expiration date.

  • It can be used across multiple future purchases.

  • Note: Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

How to Start a Return

  1. Check: Ensure the garment is in its original, unwashed condition.

  2. Contact: Email us at hello@bitterbutter.studio with your order number and the reason for your return.

  3. Ship: Our team will provide the appropriate return address (Nepal or UK-based, depending on your location) and further instructions.
